June 2024 - ECOSOC Accreditation

IHRC received our UN Economic and Social Council’s Special Consultative Status, which will allow us to engage directly “with ECOSOC and its subsidiary bodies, the Human Rights Council and, under specific conditions, some meetings of the General Assembly… as well as with the United Nations Secretariat.” This was a major step in our history, and will enable IHRC as an organization to present interventions on the floor of the UN, among other activities. We are truly excited about this opportunity to expand our voice and participate more actively in UN policy making.

September 2024 - Summit of the Future

Thanks to our generous supporters, IHRC was able to send a delegation to the Summit of the Future Action Days, as well as the Summit of the Future UN convening (Sept 22-23), where member states voted to adopt the Pact for the Future, a global document… and each member state had an opportunity to deliver remarks. Watching President Volodymyr Zelenskyy speak after traveling from Ukraine for the event was particularly inspiring. For more information and photos, check out our Summit of the Future page.

March 2025 - NGO CSW69 / Beijing+30 Forum

This past March IHRC participated in the NGO Forum virtually, highlighting our newest passion project, FemFEAST, a program that leverages STEM and general business education to increase women’s empowerment globally.
